Les Miserables San Francisco | Orpheum Theatre

One of Broadway’s longest and most legendary musicals, Boublil & Schonberg’s ‘Les Miserables’ will be staged for a whole month in summer 2012 at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, from July 10th to August 5th.

Now on its 25th year, producer Cameron Mackintosh brings back the tribulations, glory and drama of this musical, hailed by many – fans and critics, alike – as the celebration of the triumph and survival of the human spirit. Described by The New York Times as “an unquestionably spectacular production from start to finish,” this new and revitalized production of ‘Les Mis’ features a more gripping and grittier orchestration and story-telling, and a set design that is strongly influenced and inspired by Victor Hugo’s artworks, the same historic artist who penned the story from which this musical is based. As The Star-Ledger would put it, ‘Les Miserables’ is a “dynamically re-imagined hit.”
